BMO EMPLOYEES TAKE DATING TO A WHOLE NEW LEVEL

BMO EMPLOYEES TAKE DATING TO A WHOLE NEW LEVEL

LEAWOOD, KS (February 21, 2013) – BMO Financial Group employees Kim Bridges and Braxton Bowman are putting themselves on the auction block just to get a date. Don't worry – it's all in the name of fun and for a good cause. They are just two of 24 local singles who have put together date night packages that will go to the highest bidders as part of the February 22nd Date Night Auction, sponsored by SocialHeart. All the proceeds from the event will be given to The Women's Foundation of Greater Kansas City to help fund their programs, projects and activities that focus on financial self-sufficiency for women and girls.

"We're always looking for creative ways to support our customers and communities, so when the Women's Foundation approached us for help, we immediately said yes," commented Bridges, a K-State graduate, who also holds a Doctorate in Personal Financial Planning. "While I've never done anything like this before, I am passionate about causes that support women, so I hope the event is a tremendous success and more needed programs can be funded."

She describes her date package as "refined." While she wouldn't give away all the details, it is best suited for someone who enjoys fine food and the arts.

Bowman, who is a vice president in BMO's Global Asset Management division and self-described athletically inclined bachelor, has put together a package designed to appeal to someone who enjoys sports. It includes tickets to Sporting KC, rounds of golf and various restaurant gift certificates.

"I was flattered to be asked to participate. It's a great cause and I'm happy to support it. My enthusiasm for sports made putting together my date night package a slam dunk," said Bowman.

The fun begins Friday night at 6 PM at the Alamo Drafthouse in downtown Kansas City. A $15 donation gets you in the door, and the bidding begins at 9 PM.

"I've gotten great support from my co-workers," added Bridges. "I just want the winning bid on my package to be higher than my colleague's – in the spirit of healthy competition, of course."
