Harrisdirect Reduces Commission Pricing
Flat $9.95 equity trades for clients with $500,000 or more in assets
JERSEY CITY, N.J., June 21, 2004 – Harrisdirect, the direct investing provider of Harris, today announced it will significantly reduce online trade pricing effective July 6, 2004.
Clients with $500,000 or more in combined assets will receive a flat $9.95 commission rate on online equity trades with no share ceiling, vs. the current charge of $19.99 with a 5,000 share ceiling and $.02 per share thereafter. Additionally, the option base commission for those clients will be reduced to $19.95 plus $1.50 per contract vs. the current price of $22.50 plus $1.50 per contract.
Effective Fall 2004, clients with $100,000-$500,000 will receive a reduced share ceiling price of $.015 per share over 1000 shares vs. the current charge of $.02.
For all clients below $500,000, tiered pricing for online equity trades-per-quarter is as follows*:
